Job loses won't affect the Island

by isleofman.com 23rd April 2009

The Isle of Man won't be affected by news that almost 1,000 jobs are to go at Lloyds TSB in the United Kingdom.

Around 200 full and part-time positions will be lost over the next two years in Merseyside, and 340 in Chester, with the rest spread across the country.

Most of the jobs are going in the Motor Financing department, which is based in the North West of England.

The firm says it's rationalising its operations, following the recent merger with HBOS.
