Fairbairn Staff Raise ?8,000 for Charity

by isleofman.com 28th April 2009

The staff at Fairbairn Private Bank in the Isle of Man and Jersey have been busy raising money for four good causes.

Through a wide range of fund-raising schemes, including a monthly staff draw, themed social events, book sales, cake sales and dress down days, a total of ?8,000 has been raised.

The money has been split equally between four charities: Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), Oskar’s Dreams, Jersey Hospice, and Abandoned Children of Romania (ACORN).

Whilst the former three charities do an outstanding job in supporting the local communities on the Isle of Man and Jersey, the latter charity provides assistance further afield and is supporting the many orphaned children who are abandoned in Romania.

Julie Hutchins and Janet Taylor from Fairbairn Private Bank presented the three Isle of Man based charities with the cheques on behalf of all the staff.
