Institute Welcomes New President

by isleofman.com 12th May 2009

The Isle of Man Insurance and Financial Services Institute has a new president.

Sue Gee has taken over the role from Emmet McQuillan, following the organisation's recent Annual General Meeting.

Receiving the chain of office, Sue Gee said 'It is a great honour and privilege to take over as President. Having spent seven years on Council, my primary role is to provide continuity for the Institute, whilst offering a slightly different outlook on subjects such as CPD delivery'.

Sue thanked Emmet for all his hard work during 2008 - 2009, mentioned the existing Council, who will sit with her again this year, and welcomed two new members to Council.

She finished by saying how much she was looking forward to the year ahead and leading the Institute into 2010.

The Institute was founded in 1987 and its membership, which is drawn from general insurers, insurance brokers, captive managers, international life insurers and financial advisers, numbers well over 300.
