Keith Green, Human Resources Manager of Isle of Man Post Office, has been awarded the ‘Candidate of the Year’ award from Cullen Scholefield, Human Resource and Management Consultants, for his outstanding commitment to his professional studies.
To gain the Human Resources professional qualifications, Keith had to complete a number of assignments and projects in addition to undertaking a variety of specialised units based on the wide range of skills and knowledge needed in a Human Resources department.
On receiving the award at a presentation evening at the Hilton Hotel, Douglas, Keith said he was very surprised and honoured and added 'I feel that the award reflects the commitment Isle of Man Post Office gives to the training and support of its employees'.
Maureen Scholefield, Managing Director of Cullen Scholefield, said 'Keith is a shining example of Continuing Professional Development. This is an essential component of our working lives and no one can afford to stand still. Keith started working towards his professional qualifications by completing the Certificate in Personnel Practice in 2003.
'He then worked towards achieving the Personnel NVQ Level 4 and then Level 5. Keith gained Chartered membership via the Professional Assessment of Competence route to membership and then we supported his Chartered Fellow application which he completed this year. His commitment to continually improve is exemplary, he is an excellent role model'.
Chief Executive of Isle of Man Post Office, Bill Chacksfield, is delighted Keith’s efforts have been awarded in this way. He said 'Keith’s commitment to the well-being of both our staff and the Post Office itself is outstanding.
'I know he is held in very high regard and that everyone in the Post Office will be delighted he has gained this well deserved honour'.
