Michael Jackson fans in the Isle of Man are coming to terms with the news of his death, at the age of 50.
The singer suffered a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles, and was pronounced dead in hospital later yesterday evening.
The self-styled 'King of Pop' was one of the biggest recording artists and performers in the world in the past 40 years, and fans in the Island had been looking forward to his series of 50 'Farewell' shows at London's 02 Arena, which had been due to start next month.
Last night's Late Show on Manx Radio was swamped with emails from devastated listeners, particularly in America, and presenter Bernie Quayle received numerous requests for Jackson's records to be played.
Bernie recalled meeting the Jackson 5 when, as a radio DJ in the United States in the late 1960 and early 70s, he introduced them on stage.
