Boustred Manx move

by isleofman.com 9th July 2009

A former deputy chairman of giant mining group Anglo American has sparked fierce criticism over comments he made about the Isle of Man.

In an interview with South African newspaper Business Day, Graham Boustred talked about moving to the Isle of Man and explained he’d made that choice on the grounds of race.

His remarks have sparked angry letters to the newspaper and attracted criticism from the South African Times, as well as the UK Independent.

Mr Boustred, 84, also faced flak for saying senior women managers couldn’t perform as well as their male counterparts because they were sexually frustrated.
