The Isle of Man Children’s Centre has appointed Mark Payne to the key position of Training Consultant within its expanding Corporate Personal Development (CPD) operation.
CPD is the training arm of the IOMCC, providing a wide range of bespoke programmes for major companies, government organisations and private groups.
The programmes are based around team building, leadership and management development.
The IOMCC has a long-standing commitment to promoting the idea of social enterprise across the Isle of Man under the wing of CPD and Mark is set to play a major role in further developing the brand.
Prior to joining the IOMCC, Mark was a Senior Trainer at Friends Provident International on the Isle of Man, having previously spent a number of years as Training Coordinator for the Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service in the UK.
'What especially attracted me to working for the Children’s Centre was the scope of the good work the charity undertakes and the level of professionalism within the organisation. There is a lot of expertise here,' said Mark.
'I have a passion for voluntary organisations and for helping people move towards fulfilling their potential.
'Here at the IOMCC, there is the perfect opportunity to bring these two ideals together within a social enterprise framework.
'I believe there is huge potential for CPD to flourish across the public and private sector on the Isle of Man.'
IOMCC Chief Executive John Knight said 'We are delighted to be appointing someone of Mark’s calibre to this high profile position within the charity.
'Despite the current economic cycle, there is a still a big demand for the delivery of high quality, targeted and innovative training and development programmes and with Mark’s appointment we are now ideally placed within CPD to assist a broad section of the island’s business community.'
All profits from the training programmes delivered by CPD go towards work with children, young people and families throughout the Island.
