Boal & Co is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Blackhurst as a senior consultant.

Ian joins Boal & Co from one of the Island’s leading offshore life insurance companies, having worked in the finance sector for 14 years.

Ian’s primary role will be to help develop the company’s successful employee benefit practice, initially working with Boal & Co’s larger domestic and international clients.

Director Mark Kiernan said, "We are delighted that Ian has joined our team.

"He has gained tremendous experience during his time in the Island and having someone with his knowledge and skills on board will enhance the service we provide to clients and continue to drive forward our overall pensions proposition.

"This is an exciting time for the company, with our move to new headquarters in the Isle of Man Business" Park and the continued expansion of our core businesses, and it’s an opportune time for Ian to join us."

Boal & Co is one of the Island’s leading consultant actuaries, specialising in providing advice to offshore insurance companies and pension schemes.

Ian added, "I’m looking forward to working with our occupational pension clients and our excellent pensions team.

"Boal & Co has expanded hugely in local and international pensions in the last two years, and it’s a fantastic challenge for me to help to support the delivery of our pensions proposition to both local and international companies."
