Sure’s new dealer channel, Xfor, began trading in Ramsey on Saturday (19th September) with political endorsement.
Ramsey MHK and Education Minister, the Hon. Anne Craine, will officially open the store, alongside northern TT racer, Gary Carswell.
The mobile phone and small business centre will provide an economic boost and business resource for people living in Ramsey and the north.
Xfor, which is based at 70 Parliament Street, has created three new jobs in Ramsey, in addition to the positions held by proprietors Richard Carr and Victoria Calcutt.
The same tariffs and handsets that are available to customers either online, or from the Sure shop on Strand Street, Douglas, will be offered at the store, in addition to a direct customer facing sales channel that will target the SME companies across the Island.
As well as offering Sure products and services, Xfor will offer home and business broadband services through Wi-Manx, a business and consumer photocopying service, and a promotional merchandise and corporate gift service.
A display featuring a TT race bike and sidecar will be a feature outside the store tomorrow lunchtime by another Sure partner, the Isle of Man TT Marshals Association.
Customers will also be able to take advantage of some opening week offers including a FREE Nintendo Wii and a FREE LG Cookie or LG Etna, both available on the ?35 per month price plan. One lucky customer will also win a BlackBerry Storm at the Xfor store on Saturday.
Sure/Xfor customers can rest assured they will receive the best possible advice when visiting the store; both Richard and Victoria are highly experienced in the UK telecoms industry, having worked in both the mobile and fixed line home and business solutions arenas.
Richard commented, "Since we announced that the new Xfor/Sure store would be opening in Ramsey, we have had a great deal of support from the people of the north of the Island telling us they believe this will be a vital resource for them.
"Having a mobile phone and small business centre on their doorstep solves a lot of problems and makes life much easier for them if they cannot get into Douglas during working hours, so I know Xfor will be a great success."
Mike Stanton, Sure’s Country Manager, commented, "I would encourage as many people as possible to go down to the new Sure/Xfor store in Ramsey tomorrow and have a look at what Richard, Victoria and the team can do for them.
"Sure is committed to serving the mobile and business needs of consumers in the Isle of Man, improving the quality of service on offer and providing the best possible solutions to their needs.
"There is a big demand for a place like Xfor and it is great that we are able to respond to that."
