Customer Service Awards for Postal Team

by isleofman.com 25th September 2009

Four employees at Isle of Man Post Office have been recognised for outstanding customer service.

John Higginbotham, Ian Gardner, Julie Hill and Sharon Radcliffe were presented with ‘Going the Extra Mile’ awards by Post Office Chairman Alan Crowe MLC at a presentation ceremony at Postal Headquarters this week.

Recommendations for the award came from customers who expressed gratitude towards the staff who showed excellent customer service in a variety of ways such as helping to retrieve an item posted by mistake to helping a customer track a posted item.

Chief Executive of Isle of Man Post Office Bill Chacksfield said, "We take customer service very seriously at Isle of Man Post Office and encourage staff to go the extra mile for our customers everyday.

"This is the first time we have introduced this award scheme and we would encourage customers to let us know when they have experienced impressive customer service from one of our employees in the hope we can recognise more of our workforce in this way."
