One-time Olympic champion Adrian Moorhouse has been invited by the Isle of Man branch of the Institute of Directors to give an informal workshop on professional development.
'Swimming to Success in Business' is taking place at 4pm on Thursday 22nd October at the Sefton Hotel.
Following on from this event, Adrian will spend the evening as Guest Speaker at the Isle of Man Swimming Association's annual dinner.
After his triumph in the 1988 Seoul Games, Adrian Moorhouse went on to considerable success as a BBC sports commentator and businessman.
He is now the Managing Director of Lane4, a professional services firm focused on organisational performance, leadership development and executive coaching.
Earlier this year, he was voted 'Best Leader' in the Sunday Times' 'Best Companies to Work For' list and in 2007, he was named IoD Director of the Year (South East).
The IoD awards are designed to recognise directors who make an outstanding contribution to their company, industry and community through their business acumen, leadership skills and social responsibility.
IoD Regional Director Rodger Brand comments, "Adrian was picked over 100 nominees.
"The judges thought he was exceptional because of his company's success in helping organisations, teams and individuals to achieve and sustain high performance."
Admission to the workshop, which will be held in the hotel's Garden Room, costs ?5 per person and is payable on the day but places must be booked in advance by 16th October.
