by isleofman.com 3rd October 2009

If you work in the hospitality industry and would like to be able to give visitors a true Manx welcome, the government is offering a training course over the winter months.

The Manx Welcome course offers tutoring in customer care, food hygiene and health and safety in the workplace.

The scheme has run since 2005 and is jointly funded by the Department of Tourism and Leisure, and the Department of Trade and Industry.

The course is free of charge and 1,200 people who have already completed it are eligible for the Manx Welcome Gold Award.
