New head of Junior Achievement

by isleofman.com 9th October 2009

Sue Cook has been appointed chief executive of Junior Achievement Isle of Man.

She joins the organisation from Hamblin Employment Group, where she held the post of CEO and was recently responsible for day to day operations and the establishment of the company's egaming recruitment division.

Mrs Cook says she is delighted to have been given such an 'exciting opportunity' to develop Junior Achievement in the Island.

She sees the organisation as providing 'a vital link between school and the world of work, which complements the Island's excellent education system'.

Mrs Cook says the impact of Junior Achievement extends far beyond the classroom and career pathways.

She says: 'It is of value to all abilities, not purely the academically gifted. The programme helps young people become more rounded individuals, who are better ready for life and able to realise their full potential'.
