"Meeting and exceeding customers' expectations and protecting the environment are top of the Bridson & Horrox agenda," said Darren Horrox, managing director at Bridson & Horrox.
"Our quality and environmental systems ensure that we continue to deliver quality products and customer service, while operating sound and responsible environmental policies and practices using resources responsibly and efficiently."
Bridson & Horrox, which was founded in 1933, has now gained ISO accreditation from the World Certification Services-UK with stages one and two 14001:2004 of the enviromental management system.
It has also been reassessed to the IS0 9001:2008 standard for quality management for the management and distribution of printed and digital products and the distribution of office supplies.
The company had embarked on a review process to address environmental issues relating to its use of fuel and disposal of waste materials, and has since implemented various recycling and energy saving procedures in both the factory and its delivery process.
Bridson & Horrox has a strong policy on recycling, particularly regarding factory waste, and offers a toner cartridge recycling service to all customers.
Suppliers are chosen for their environmental consciousness; all paper is sourced from Forest Stewardship Certified providers and furniture can be traced back to the very tree from which it was made.
