E-gaming firms recognise their social responsibilities

Isle of Man-based firms SBObet and 188bet are among a number of e-gaming companies which have suspended betting on youth football matches following a request from football authorities.

Both the English Premier League and the English FA called for the action after raising concerns about the vulnerability of young players to gambling syndicates.

The feeling is they may be more tempted to throw a game in return for a bribe than an adult would be.

SBObet executive director Bill Mummery says it's important to show they are socially responsible:
