New man in charge at Personnel Office

The Civil Service Commission has announced Keith Stewart is taking over as chief officer at the Personnel Office, on an interim basis.

He is currently the director of performance improvement in the department, and will formally take up his duties on November 1.

Mr Stewart is also secretary to the Civil Service Commission and to the employers' side of Whitley Council.

He succeeds Brenda Skillicorn, who retires at the end of this month after 13 years in the post.
