'Positive' news in airport statistics

by isleofman.com 17th November 2009

Airport bosses say the slump in passenger figures at Ronaldsway seems to be slowing after a small fall in October.

Last month's total was down 2.6 per cent – 1,675 fewer people than in October last year.

Airport director Ann Reynolds says the statistics bolster her view that falls in passengers because of the recession may now be over.

She says while there is a continued decrease over 2008 passenger levels, all the indications are that the downward trend is bottoming out.
