EGaming Consultant to Work with McKenzie Fox

Island-based recruiter McKenzie Fox has announced that former Tote Chief Executive John Heaton will consult to the business as an adviser on e-gaming development and related work.


In 2004, John Heaton founded the Betting and Gaming Consultancy, which offers practical and operational assistance to both suppliers and operators in the betting and gaming industry.

He was CEO of UK Tote for seven years and was also CEO of Premierbet and Heathorns, with operational experience of online Sportsbooks and casinos.

 

He has operated a chain of over 500 betting shops and a substantial telephone betting business.

 

The Tote is a ?1.5 billion turnover company and holds the exclusive license to operate pool betting on horseracing in the UK.

 

John was with the Tote for 21 years holding a number of key roles including CEO, Lawyer, Commercial Director, IT Director and led the Tote consortium's National Lottery bid.

 

A qualified lawyer, he has advised government on the implementation of betting legislation and has drafted statutes.  With an unrivalled knowledge of bookmaking and pool betting, he was the President of the European pool betting organizations and guest speaker at conferences worldwide.


McKenzie Fox Managing Director Alf Cannan (pictured) is delighted that John has agreed to work with McKenzie Fox and make his expertise available to the e-gaming industry on the Island.

John will be visiting the Island on the 10th December to familiarise himself with the Island egaming infrastructure.  McKenzie Fox will be arranging a networking event to introduce John to key personnel in the industry.
