by isleofman.com 17th November 2009

The chief executive of the Manx Electricity Authority is set to retire next year, after over 40 years of service.

Ashton Lewis will step down in the autumn.

MEA chairman Quintin Gill, MHK, says Mr Lewis has devoted 44 years of service to the electric supply industry on the Island, starting with the Isle of Man Electricity Board in 1965.

He has held his present position for the last five years.

The authority will begin the process of finding a successor to Mr Lewis shortly.
