Barclays Wealth Hosts Excellence Awards

Barclays Wealth in the Isle of Man recently held its quarterly Excellence in Operations presentation event at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas. 

 

The awards event is held once a quarter to present outstanding individuals and teams with platinum, gold and silver awards for which they are nominated by their colleagues.

 

During the evening, colleagues from Banking Operations, Client Services and Operational Assurance in the Isle of Man were recognised for their achievements during the last three months.

 

A total of 18 awards were presented on the evening, 13 silver and 5 gold.

 

A special recognition award was presented to Damian Bird for his work organising the record breaking three legged race at Noble’s Park earlier this month.

 

Overall the event raised over ?40,000 for the Barclays Wealth Charity of the Year, Wish Upon a Dream and broke the existing world record by over 100 pairs.

 

The awards were presented by Greg Ellison, Managing Director of Barclays Private Clients International and Paul McAllister, Head of Banking Operations.

 

Greg Ellison said, "The Excellence in Operations events provide us with the opportunity to thank and recognise members of staff who really go the extra mile to help ensure that our clients and colleagues receive the highest levels of service.

 

"I would like to congratulate the winners and thank staff for all their nominations.

 

‘It was also great to be able to present Damian with his award for his amazing contribution to the local community through the organisation of the three legged race and by raising so much money for Wish Upon a Dream.

 

"We, as an organisation, were delighted to be able to take part and contribute to this record-breaking attempt."
