TLC Keep Training Rates Constant

by isleofman.com 15th December 2009

For the second year running, training providers TLC Business Solutions have announced that they they will not raise costs for their training courses for the second year running.

Whilst the full impact of the global credit crunch has not been felt on the Island as much as it has in the UK, the recent VAT announcement has left the Island’s businesses with yet more uncertainty in terms of what next year will hold.

Sue Gee (pictured), Managing Director of TLC, comments, "At TLC, we understand that in order to survive the turbulence and uncertainty of our present economic climate, businesses need to maximise their budgets and, where possible, cut costs.  When it comes to saving money, training budgets tend to be the first area to suffer; however, I believe that this is not a productive solution for the long term.

"We understand that money is tight, but believe that businesses should continue to invest in their people.  We are here to support local businesses and their staff and for this reason we have decided not to raise the costs of our services in 2010.

"This will be the second year that we have not increased the costs of our courses."

This decision will not only benefit existing companies but also new ones attempting to establish themselves in this currently unstable situation.  Well-informed and highly skilled staff are essential for the success of all businesses in providing quality and competitive services to their clients.

Moreover, training employees and encouraging them to improve and fulfil their professional potential has been proven to reduce staff turnover and boost morale.
