New Year Bus Services Announced

The Department of Transport has announced that there will be three special bus services for New Year's Eve revellers, leaving Douglas at 1.15am on 1st January 2010.

 

Department Member with responsibility for Public Transport, Mr Graham Cregeen, MHK, explains, "These services offer a safe, convenient and inexpensive way to get home after a great night out this New Year’s Eve.  For just ?5, you can get home safely and have lots of time to enjoy your celebrations."

 

The Isle of Man Constabulary will once again be supporting these services by providing Special Constables on each bus.  All journeys will cost ?5, with no concessions available. 
 
Route Information

 

Service 1: 12.20am - Port St Mary to Douglas (Loch Promenade); 1.15am - Loch Promenade; 1.20am - Villa Marina lay-by via Spring Valley to Castletown, Port Erin and Port St Mary.

 

Service 3: 12.25am - Ramsey to Douglas (Loch Promenade); 1.15am - Loch Promenade; 1.20am - Villa Marina lay-by via Promenades, Royal Avenue, Birch Hill and Ballachrink to Ramsey (Onchan estates by request).

 

Service 6: 1.15am Douglas to Peel (Loch Promenade); 1.20am - Villa Marina lay-by via Derby Road, Woodbourne Road, Willaston (by request) and Strang to Peel (at 2.05am this service will return from Peel via St Johns and Crosby to Lower Douglas).
