Millwall chairman offers peace to Island tycoon

by isleofman.com 18th December 2009

Millwall Football Club chairman John Berylson says he’s trying to make peace with Manx-based businessman Graham Ferguson Lacey.

Mr Ferguson Lacey is a major shareholder in the side, sparking protests from fans who feared he wanted the club to sell its ground for development.

At last week’s annual general meeting, Mr Ferguson Lacey voted down proposals for a share issue which would have raised money for the team.

Mr Berylson says he is trying to accommodate Mr Ferguson Lacey's concerns but adds he doesn’t understand what the entrepreneur is trying to achieve.
