New Appointment at Telecom Data Centre

Manx Telecom has announced the appointment of Mark Mead to a senior role within the fast expanding technical team at the Company’s world class Data Centre at Douglas North.

 

After gaining extensive industry experience across a broad range of blue chip organisations, including most recently working in the Netherlands, Mark has been recruited in the key position of Storage Specialist.

 

He will be tasked with delivering Manx Telecom’s complex storage area network projects which are currently underway and to help expand the Company’s impressive managed hosting portfolio through distributed storage products.

 

The purpose-built Douglas North Data Centre, completed in 2005 at a cost of over ?10 million, hosts some of the largest international eGaming companies, online bookmakers, global payment processors, international e-money providers and major banks.

 

More than 30 staff are now based at the facility, whose fast-developing core network and enterprise hosting operation is now primed to take on additional capacity.
