Prosecutions for non-payment of NI

Thirteen businesses in the Isle of Man have been fined for not paying their National Insurance contributions.

The government's enforcement division brought the prosecutions against the firms, which owed a total of more than ?58,000.

Between them, they were fined a total of ?4,300 and each was ordered to pay ?110 costs.

The companies were Galla's Foundry, Nearbuy, Haven Property Developments, Falcon Garage, T & P Kermeen Family Butchers, MC Scaffolding, Haven Plumbing and Heating, Cain's TV and Aerial Services, Jalnar Ltd, Nautilus Plus, The People Company, Jacksons Taverns and Crazy Jacks.
