Sefton buys into MBL

The Isle of Man-based Sefton Group has bought a 14 per cent stake in home entertainment products distributor MBL Group.

MBL is a United Kingdom distributor which supplies DVD, CD and video games, working with some of the country's major retailers, including Morrisons and Best Buy.

It has its head office in Leyland, Lancashire and has been listed on the alternative Investments Market since July 2002.

The Sefton Group reported a profit of ?1m on revenues of ?14.9m in the six months to June 2009.

MBL says in the six months to September 2009, its sales jumped 124 per cent to ?78.2m, while reported profits rose from ?2.3m to ?3.2m.
