Sponsor welcomes changes at West Ham

The takeover of West Ham United is being welcomed by the chief of the club's Isle of Man-based sponsor.

SBOBET's executive director Bill Mummery says new owners David Sullivan and David Gold have brought much needed stability to the debt-ridden Premier League outfit.

The former Birmingham City owners bought a 50 per cent controlling stake in the Hammers last week and have some ambitious plans, such as moving to London's new Olympic Stadium after the 2012 games.

Mr Mummery says, after the uncertainty of the previous regime, it's great to be able to look to the future with confidence:
