New Brand Identity for IOMA Group

by isleofman.com 27th January 2010

Financial services group IOMA has launched a striking new corporate identity.  Part of an extensive rebranding exercise, the new design will help reinforce the IOMA Group’s prominent position in wealth management on the Island.

IOMA group was formed thirty years ago when its founding partners – Robin Bigland, Colin Bowen and Nigel Wood – volunteered to build a Viking replica longboat, Odin’s Raven.  They then embarked on an epic voyage from Norway to the Isle of Man to commemorate the Millennium of Tynwald.

Building on the values they had discovered – free thinking,  resilience, sense of purpose, creativity and responsibility towards others–  they decided to set up in business and established Isle of Man Assurance Limited, so laying the foundations of the IOMA Group.  Thirty years on, IOMA has an international client base and a proven reputation as an authority on low tax structuring and wealth management.

IOMA group has grown significantly and in the past five years has launched a fund and investment management business and a pensions business under the group umbrella.  The primary objective during the rebranding process was to establish a clear monolithic master brand under which the individual business units can comfortably sit.

The launch has included new trading names; individual logos for the IOMA business divisions; and a website with significantly improved capabilities, which are amongst a number of changes the IOMA Group is implementing to make life easier for clients and business partners.

Commenting on today’s launch, Nigel Wood, IOMA Group Managing Director, says, "We are excited about our future and think the new identity encapsulates what we stand for as a group.  It reflects our heritage but at the same time is fresh, modern and bold.  It depicts a journey and looks forward with great confidence.  Each client relationship is like a voyage, charting new waters, holding steady and reaching safe harbour in a strong position.

"We believe the new identity demonstrates where we want to be and what we intend to achieve for our clients.  We want to stand out from the crowd and promote the depth and scope of our business and the impressive skills we offer.   I think the new identity will help us do just that!"
