'Conflict management with a difference' was the topic of a recent CPD event held by the Isle of Man Insurance and Financial Services Institute.
The event, which took place on the 15th January at the Claremont Hotel, was facilitated by the Institute’s President Sue Gee and attended by over 65 delegates.
The workshop placed emphasis around how people communicate with each other; why they either got on well with some people and not so well with others.
Following the session, written feedback included comments like such as 'I thought it was a fabulous session. Really, really interesting and really well presented'; 'It was an interesting presentation that had all of our attention - on a Friday too!'; and 'Speaker better than expected. The presentation involved the attendees more than I had expected and was the better for that. The amount of ground covered in the hour was good and importantly most of the information has been retained.'
Sue Gee, president of the Isle of Man Insurance and Financial Services Institute, commented, "I am very pleased that our members are satisfied and I must thank the Council for all their hard work in organising events such as these because without their support these just would not happen.
"The Institute will look to continue on our success when we organise the events schedule for the remainder of 2010."
The Institute offers a wide variety of CPD subjects and these can be viewed at: www.localinstitutes.cii.co.uk/isleofman.
