Technical Appointment at Data Centre

Manx Telecom has announced the appointment of Rob Lord to its front line hosting technical team at the Company’s fast-expanding Douglas North Data Centre.

 

Rob, 23, has gained prior IT experience as Technical Coordinator with a leading Island-based IT solutions provider.

 

The purpose-built Douglas North Data Centre, which is now primed to take on additional capacity, runs Manx Telecom’s state-of-the-art core network and enterprising hosting operation.

 

Completed in 2005 at a cost of over ?10 million, the Centre hosts some of the largest international eGaming companies, online bookmakers, global payment processors, international e-money providers and major banks.

 

Stephen Trimble, Manx Telecom’s Enterprise Hosting and Solutions Manager said Rob’s appointment and expansion of the technical team was a clear indication of the growing demand for the Company’s hosting services on the Isle of Man.

 

"Manx Telecom’s hosting and managed services continue to evolve and grow and we have exceeded our customers’ requirements in terms of platform size, scalability and costs.  The technical team form an integral part of the operation and we are delighted to have appointed someone of Rob’s calibre," said Stephen.
