by isleofman.com 11th February 2010

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his bike by a car.

It happened around 3.30pm on Sunday (Feb 7) at Douglas Road corner in Kirk Michael.

The bike rider was heading along the TT course towards the village when a silver coloured saloon-style car pulled off the junction at the corner and hit the bicycle, leaving the rider cut and bruised after they fell off.

The motorist then drove off.

Anyone who may have seen the incident or a car being driven erratically in the area is asked to get in contact with Peel police on 842208.
