A major Investment Conference hosted recently by Collins Stewart Wealth Management attracted more than 150 delegates.
It was standing room only at the conference, staged in the Villa Marina, where three leading market experts spoke about the economic outlook for 2010.
Strategist Robert Jukes discussed the macroeconomic backdrop and the markets’ prospects for the year ahead. He asserted that equity markets would continue to remain attractive.
Investment Director Richard Stanley considered the interest rate outlook and the implications for investors looking to generate maximum income.
Responsible for setting asset allocation policy group-wide, Chief Investment Officer Nigel Cuming drew the themes of the conference together.
He set out the implications of the financial markets outlook for portfolio construction and explained how investors should structure their portfolios for the year.
Collins Stewart Head of Wealth Management in the Isle of Man, Dermot Hamill (pictured second from left), said that the response to the conference, the second of its kind, had been universally positive.
"We believe this was a highly successful seminar where the format, content and expertise were well received. A key differentiator at Collins Stewart Wealth Management is the quality of our global and highly rated research function and because of this, we are equipped to offer clients and advisors guidance on where to invest their assets in 2010. With the gains seen last year and the rather uncertain outlook this knowledge is crucial."
Collins Stewart Wealth Management in the Isle of Man now has six portfolio managers and four dealers based at the Lord Street offices that offer personalised and highly experienced investment management solutions to a global private client base.
Mr Hamill added, "One of our primary aims is to provide a city service located offshore where we now compete very effectively with well established city based investment managers. Many clients are seeing the significant benefits of utilising the wealth of expertise which is exists here at our offices in the Isle of Man."
