New Advocate Joins Long & Humphrey

by isleofman.com 18th February 2010

Law firm Long & Humphrey is celebrating its successful first year by expanding with the appointment of a litigation advocate to meet the growing demand for its services.

Nicola Spencer has joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team at the Douglas-based advocates, which was founded by well-known local advocates Mark Humphrey and Rob Long.  Nicola started her career at Dickinson Cruickshank (where both Mark and Rob were previously partners) before becoming an associate in the Litigation Department of Simcocks.

"I am very pleased that Nicola has joined Long & Humphrey," said Rob.

"She has a well deserved reputation as an excellent advocate, with experience in complex and challenging litigation.  Nicola’s talent was recently recognised in Chambers UK 2010 Guide which described her as the Isle of Man dispute resolution associate ‘to watch’.

"Nicola’s ability and enthusiasm will, I am sure, strengthen and complement our existing Litigation and Dispute Resolution team."

Nicola, whose husband Alex is also an advocate, said, "I’m absolutely delighted to be once again working with Rob and Mark in what is a vibrant and growing firm which offers significant opportunities."
