Boal & Co's pensions team has welcomed the appointment of Karen Kelly.
Karen brings with her a wealth of relevant experience, having spent 17 years with Bank of Bermuda and latterly HSBC, when the former joined the HSBC Group’s network in 2004.
Director Mark Kiernan explained, "Karen is a very experienced pensions professional, with a background primarily in international pensions. Although Karen will initially work with our international clients, we will also develop her domestic Isle of Man and Guernsey knowledge so she will be in a position to support our full client base.
"I’m delighted that Karen has joined Boal & Co, and am sure that she will progress to become a valued member of Boal & Co’s team. Karen’s appointment shows further commitment by Boal & Co to its clients, both locally and internationally."
Karen, 35, is married to Nick and the couple have two young children. The family lives in Laxey and Karen enjoys skiing and travelling when not advising clients on pensions.
"I’m really excited to have had the opportunity to join a highly-reputable local company,’ said Karen. ‘I was thrilled when Gary approached me, as Boal & Co is one of the leading firms of pension providers in the Island and it is growing so rapidly. I hope I can help them over the coming years using the experience I have gained."
Boal & Co specialises in actuarial services to offshore insurance companies, on and off the Island, and in the provision of pension scheme solutions for individuals and companies. The Company also has an office in Ireland and is a member of Abelica Global, an organisation comprised of actuarial consulting firms recognised as leaders in their respective countries.
Following Karen’s appointment, which increases the workforce to 13, Boal & Co will be progressing plans to create further jobs over the next two years due to continued expansion and diversification of its pensions business, a move which was announced in November last year at the official opening of the Company’s new headquarters at Marquis House in the Isle of Man Business Park.
