by isleofman.com 2nd March 2010

The Manx Electricity Authority today announced Philip King as successor to Ashton Lewis as Chief Executive of the MEA.

Chairman, Quintin Gill MHK said, "The succession of the Chief Executive has been under consideration since November 2009 when Ashton Lewis announced his intention to retire after nearly 45 years of service to the Electricity Industry on the Island.

"The Board were extremely impressed with the calibre of all candidates who applied.  However, the Board are confident that they have selected the right individual to take the MEA through into the next phase of the Authority’s life."
