Corlett to Look at Future Economy

The next Junior Chamber of Commerce Breakfast will see Chris Corlett, CEO of the Department for Trade and Industry (DTI), focusing on the Economy 2014 Project.

 

The Project was initiated in 2004 to with the aim of predicting what the Isle of Man economy would look like in 10 years.  It considered what the Government and private sector should do to grow and diversify the Island’s economy while managing key risks to prosperity. 

 

The resulting report, Creating a Can-Do Economy, was widely discussed and proved highly influential.

 

At this, the half-way point of the journey, Chris Corlett will provide an update to how different sectors within the Manx economy have developed and how the 2004 forecast stands for the next few years.

 

The event takes place at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas, starting at 7.30am.  A full English breakfast will be served and tickets are ?9 for JCC members, ?13 for non-members.
