by isleofman.com 5th March 2010

Students and school leavers can now get access to financial advice and support - and the chance to win ?500 worth of vouchers - on the Lloyds TSB Your Island Journey website.

Young people entering the job market are in with a chance of looking their best this year, thanks to Lloyds TSB, which has announced a competition to give away ?500 to help one lucky recipient put their best foot forward.

Identifying that period when students are trying to get a foothold in their chosen profession as one of the most daunting in life, Lloyds TSB has put in places a series of activities that will alleviate the stress of this critical time.

"Young Islanders simply need to answer one question on the new website to be in with a chance of winning ?500 worth of shopping vouchers, which they can use to create a new, smarter image preparing them to enter the world of work in style.

Lucy Felton, Business Development Manager for Lloyds TSB on Isle of Man, said, "The new Lloyds TSB Your Island Journey website is packed full of advice and information which anyone starting out on their career will find valuable.

"Whether it’s navigating your way through financial jargon so you can be sure to find the right bank account for your needs, getting advice on budgeting or entering our competition, we think we have something for everyone starting out on this exciting part of life’s journey."

Starting Out is, by virtue of its name, only the beginning - throughout 2010, Lloyds TSB will be further developing the new website to include information relating to other key life stages.

Details of the Starting Out initiative, including the competition, can be found here: www.lloydstsb-offshore.com/your-journey
