The Dixcart Group's managed office service, the only one of its kind on the Island, has been declared a success.
Suites in the Dixcart Business Centre - the recently refurbished Britannia House, Athol Street, and also at 69 Athol Street - began the new year close to full occupancy.
The managed office service was launched in 2008 with the aim of providing fully serviced, high quality office suites ranging from one to six desks, for both new companies and companies looking to relocate to the Isle of Man.
Some firms are located there in the medium term whilst others have shorter term arrangements, with firms moving to their own premises once they are established on the Island.
To date, the managed office suites have helped over twenty companies start-up or relocate to the Island, creating some 65 jobs. Since 2007, the Dixcart Group has invested over ?6million in the Isle of Man property market.
Due to their success, the Group is looking to further expand the current number of 18 managed office suites, by expanding the current business centre by another floor and purchasing an additional building.
The success of the managed offices is due to both the quality of the office space and its prime location on the Island, combined with the professional services which are available to help develop new and expanding companies.
Accounting support such as book-keeping can be provided as well as advice on tax compliance and assistance with VAT returns. Human resources and IT support can also be supplied.
The Business Centre helps to meet one of the key objectives outlined in the Isle of Man Government’s DTI Service Delivery Plan, which is to broaden the Island’s economic base by creating an environment where start-ups can grow through the provision of additional office space.
The Dixcart Group employs over 250 people in eight jurisdictions and has nearly 40 years' experience in providing financial and corporate services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
Established in the Isle of Man over twelve years ago, the Athol Street office services both corporate and individual clients providing a wide range of professional expertise in areas ranging from shipping and yachting through aviation and property to private wealth and trading structures.
