Happy Harold to retire

It’s the end of the road for Happy Harold, as the mobile classroom which teaches wellbeing and health at schools in the Isle of Man is to be scrapped.

Education minister Anne Craine says the Life Education Bus, featuring Harold the giraffe, has been useful over the years, but it’s time to end the service.

She says schools already cover the subjects taught by Harold and the travelling team, making the facility redundant.

Mrs Craine says axing the service will save money, but it’s not all about cash cuts:
