Institute Talk Explores Power of Mindsets

by isleofman.com 18th March 2010

Sue Gee spoke at the latest Institute of Directors breakfast meeting held this morning (Thursday 18th  March) at the Hilton Hotel.

Sue Gee is Managing Director of TLC Business Systems and has wide experience as a trainer.

In her talk, she asked the question ‘Is your glass half full or half empty?’ and covered the importance of recognising positive and negative mindsets, in ourselves and in others, emphasising the way in which we are affected by our own and each others' behaviour.

Participants were reminded that this applied not just to the spoken word but to all activity, including body language; Sue gave several examples to demonstrate various concepts.

It was an enlightening way to start the day and an interesting short Q & A session followed the talk.

Local branch chair, Advocate Sally Bolton, thanked Sue for joining the meeting.

IoD breakfast meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month with the next meeting due on 15th April.
