The readers of the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle have shortlisted Fairbairn Private Bank for Best Private Bank in their Wealth Management Awards 2010.
They were invited to complete a detailed questionnaire about their wealth managers, from which the shortlist was produced.
Assessments were based on a range of criteria, including financial performance, fees, the range of investment options and tax solutions, trustworthiness and general competence.
The scores for each of the criteria were then used by a panel of judges to select a winner in each category.
The title of Best Private Bank will be awarded to the bank which the readers and judges feel offers its banking customers truly outstanding, tailored banking services.
Managing director of Fairbairn Private Bank Greg Horton said: 'We are delighted to be one of only four banks to be shortlisted for the Best Private Bank award.
'To be recognised for this national award from two such highly respected journals is particularly encouraging.'
The winners of the awards will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at London's Park Lane Hotel, on April 29.
