The Managing Director of Itex (Isle of Man) Ltd, Alyson Hamilton-Lacey (pictured) will be the guest speaker at a forthcoming breakfast meeting of the Isle of Man branch of the Institute of Directors.
At the meeting on Thursday 15th April, which takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Alyson Hamilton-Lacey will ask, 'Developments in technology - how, as Directors, can we manage change more effectively?'
With offices located in small offshore jurisdictions, Itex specialises in providing World-Class IT services to Island communities.
Before becoming the Managing Director of Itex, Alyson was Commercial Director for Manx Telecom for five years.
Whilst there, she worked on some of the company's flagship Corporate projects including successfully moving the company into IP telephony and managed networks by winning the Isle of Man Government's ConnectMann contract.
She also has extensive experience in the Isle of Man's thriving e-Commerce sector having worked closely with Government and e-Gaming Customers to build the island's reputation, and to develop technical and commercial hosting capability to meet client demand.
Prior to this, she spent six years as Managing Director of the IT company XKO (IOM) Ltd (now 2e2), during which time she helped quadruple the size of the company, and build a highly capable 70-man team that was able to design, build and deliver World-Class solutions winning business on and off-Island against global household names.
Alyson's presentation will last approximately 10-15 minutes, after which she will answer questions from the floor.
The meeting runs from 7.45am - 9am and costs ?7.50 per person. This includes a light breakfast of bacon/sausage sandwiches, fruit juice and tea/coffee.
