Three people have been handed lengthy jail terms, with another given a suspended sentence, for their parts in trying to smuggle almost ?40,000 worth of cocaine into the Island.
Fifty-two-year-old Andrew Hays, care of the prison, has been jailed for 12 years
Liverpool man John Batty, who's 58, got 11 years, while his 25-year-old niece Sarah Edwards has been sentenced to six years.
Thirty-three-year-old Onchan woman Louise Hayes was given a four-month suspended sentence for assisting a drugs dealer to conceal or disguise the proceeds of drug trafficking.
That came after she admitted paying ?2200 into a bank account under a false name, after being asked to do so by Andrew Hays.
The prosecution told the court Batty and Edwards got the boat to the Island in January last year, Edwards bringing a car which had the cocaine in it.
Batty and Andrew Hays met up in Onchan, where they were arrested after being under police surveillance
Handing out the sentences, Deemster Doyle said the aggravating factors were the quantity and type of drug and the amount of money involved.
He added people who took risks like bringing drugs into the Island should be aware of the consequences.
