'Ace' idea from Panacea

by isleofman.com 22nd April 2010

The medical company Panacea Pharma Projects has had an ‘ace’ idea to encourage more children to take up tennis.

The company’s donating ?15,000 to Albany Tennis Club over the next three years to fund its mini-tennis programme.

The sport is played on smaller courts, using softer tennis balls and shorter racquets.

Albany has 65 children on its mini-tennis scheme, coached by Colin Hanbidge who spent a number of years coaching in Scotland – one of his pupils was tennis star Andy Murray.
