Manx entrepreneur Jim Mellon says he will invest ?100,000 in media and financial group Rivington Street Holdings.
Mr Mellon will become the non-executive chairman of RSH subject to its scheme of arrangement being completed.
The company says it's hoping to complete the scheme soon and is planning to move to the Isle of Man in early June.
Mr Mellon says the firm has an exciting future and his investment is seen as a signal of serious intent.
