Fake website warning from FSC

by isleofman.com 28th April 2010

The Financial Supervision Commission says people should be wary of bogus websites after one claimed to belong to the Zurich Financial Services Group.

The website uses Zurich Bank's name and address, but has nothing to do with the firm.

After investigating, the commission says zurich-finance.net is probably an attempt to harvest personal data in order to steal people's identities.

Advice from the FSC is not to have any dealings with it and to be sure of who any website belongs to before handing over any personal information.
