Charities to benefit as 'apprentices' go head to head

by isleofman.com 6th May 2010

The Sure Apprentice contest is down to the last two competitors, and the final leg will see them raising cash for charity.

Ballakermeen High School students Busiswa Zondi and Benjamin Li each have until the end of next month to raise as much as possible for the charity of their choice.

The winner will receive a variety of prizes from the company, including a work placement.

Country manager for Sure Isle of Man Mike Stanton says the aim of the competition is to do something that stretches students, and gives them a chance to learn skills they will find useful in later life.
