Cornish joins Barclays Wealth

CAROLINE Cornish has been appointed to one of the leading positions in Barclays Wealth as has joined the board of Barclays Private Clients International (BPCI).

She has been named as Head of Corporate Affairs for BPCI and has subsequently been appointed to the Board of Directors. 

Caroline has over 30 years of experience in the banking and fund industry and was until recently Country Head for HSBC Securities Services on the Isle of Man. Caroline’s appointment compliments the current executive board of Greg Ellison, Ian Hodgkinson, Paul Savery, Simon Scott, Alex Freeman, Karl Moore and Non-Executives Brian Dix, Peter Horsthuis and Chairman Larry Keenan. 

Caroline Cornish said, “I am delighted to have joined Barclays Wealth as Head of Corporate Affairs and to be welcomed to the BPCI Board of Directors. Barclays Wealth is a major commercial employer on the Isle of Man, and through BPCI, it is incorporated as an Isle of Man resident company. I already feel like a part of the team and am proud to be working for Barclays Wealth.” 

Greg Ellison, Managing Director, added, “I am very pleased to welcome Caroline to Barclays Wealth in her capacity as both Head of Corporate Affairs and a Director on the Board of BPCI. Caroline will be responsible for enhancing the high standards of corporate governance within the company and supporting me directly in growing the business and our contribution to the island.

“She brings with her significant experience of the industry which supports our position as one of the strongest independently-owned banks in the world. I, along with my Board colleagues, am looking forward to working with Caroline and benefitting from her expertise.”
