GOUGH Advocates appoint new Director

by isleofman.com 12th May 2010

GOUGH advocates, established over 30 years ago by Alan Gough, has announced the appointment of Mark Holligon to the position of Director.  Mark joined the Firm as a Senior Associate in September 2008 from Walkers in the Cayman Islands, where he practiced for 5 years.  Previously he had spent ten years at various major international law firms in the City of London.

Mark was admitted to the Manx Bar in February 2010.  His specialist areas of practice include Commercial Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring and Investment Funds.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director, Paul Kerruish, said "Mark’s arrival in 2008 has cemented our position as one of the leading contentious practices in the Isle of Man and it has also allowed us to extend our offering in the funds sector.  The fact that the Isle of Man continues to attract such talent from our major competitor jurisdictions is a testament to the Island's strengths in these globally difficult times."
