Staff at Barclays Wealth in the Isle of Man helped to raise over ?100,000 for local charities last year.
The sum included ?85,000 for the bank's charity of the year, 'Wish Upon a Dream', which was set up in 2007 with the aim of granting wishes for sick and terminally ill children on the Island.
Throughout 2009, employees took part in events supporting the charity, including a world record breaking 3-legged race, an indoor triathlon and a financial crime workshop.
Other local charities were also supported, with activities which included painting the Douglas Family Centre as part of Make a Difference Day, a sponsored walk for Oskar's Dreams and sponsorship of the Manx 'Stars in their Eyes', to help the Rebecca House Children’s Hospice.
This year's charity is BallaAfrica, set up in the Island in 2008 to help some of the poorest communities in the world through special projects.
